We’re Bringing Back
HBMF Live in 2024!

HBMF has had to be mostly virtual since the pandemic, but that’s no substitute for the real thing!

We have a good shot at bringing HBMF back in-person this October, at our new venue—the beautiful UH Manoa campus—and with a richer program than ever.

An in-person HBMF requires a minimum budget of $275,000. We’ve managed in the past with sponsorships and grants, but inflation has almost doubled some of our hard costs. We need your donations to get us there.

HBMF is amazing value!  It’s the most content-rich event in the state, with a dozen and more programs, topnotch entertainment, 150-175 separate events with several hundred participants, and some 30 exhibitors. Our last in-person event drew at least 15,000 attendees. That’s about $18 per head, for 14 hours of free presenters, panels, performance, music, hula, and three stages and an evening concert!

Now we need your investment to ensure the Hawai‘i Book & Music Festival not only survives but evolves into its true potential.
