Kimee Balmilero
& Improvhi

A student of beloved Hawaii theatre director Ronald E. Bright, Kimee Balmilero’s professional credits include the three-time Emmy Nominated series Hi-5, the original Broadway cast of Mamma Mia and, now, Hawaii Five-0. While working in NYC and LA for 15+ years, Kimee founded improvhi.com, a company dedicated to improv comedy in Honolulu. She produced the first-ever Hawaii Sketch Comedy Festival at The Doris Duke Theater in March 2015. Kimee made her directorial debut in July 2016 with the Hawaii Premiere of Mamma Mia at Diamond Head Theatre.

Established in 2011, improvhi started as an online “hub” for local improv and sketch comedy shows. Since then, improvhi has expanded to a performance troupe once a month in local venues such as The Pagoda and The Doris Duke Theatre.
