Aloha,

As you’ve heard by now, there won’t be a Hawai‘i Book & Music Festival this year, but we’re planning to return in October 2026.

In the meantime, we have a problem I hope you can help us solve. We have a lingering debt of $16,000. We mainly depend on sponsors and foundations and they do not fund debt, so it’s essential to retire this debt asap before launching into fundraising for next year’s festival.

HBMF delivers great value. The move to the campus of UH Manoa last year proved very popular. We drew 7,000 attendees for two days of programming in 12 venues, with 130 events and 355 presenters-- the most content-rich event in the state. The cost was about $35 per attendee. That’s quite a bargain!

So please help us start HBMF 2026 free of this debt and consider a tax-deductible contribution of $25 or more. You can use the Donate button on our website, or you can send a check payable to the Hawai‘i Book & Music Festival to me at:

Either way, your contribution is tax deductible, and I will send you a formal acknowledgment.

Mahalo for your support!
